POWER IN THE BLOOD OF JESUS (HEBREWS 9:14 “HOW MUCH MORE, THEN, WILL THE BLOOD CHRIST WHO THROUGH THE ETERNAL SPIRIT OFFERED HIMSELF WITHOUT BLEMISH TO GOD, CLEANSE OUR CONSCIENCES FROM ACTS THAT LEAD TO DEATH, SO THAT WE MAY SERVE THE LIVING LORD”)

I welcome you all as we share the Word of God on the Power of the Blood of Jesus. There is so much power in the Blood of Jesus that we may never realise unless we decide to proclaim it upon our lives. The Blood of Jesus was already shed but we might fail to receive the Power that comes with it if we fail to acknowledge it in our lives.

Shedding of blood was introduced in the Old Testament where God commanded the Israelites to offers their animals to Him through the priests as fellowship offerings. Leviticus 17:5(“this is so the Israelites bring to the Lord the sacrifices they have been offering in the open country. They were to bring them to priest at the entrance of the tents of meeting and offer them as fellowship sacrifices to the Lord”). I would simply define fellowship as a communion or unity with a common interest. They offered them to God to invite God in their daily activities as an atonement for their sins. In the New Covenant, the Blood of Jesus Christ was shed to reinforce the fellowship between God and man in a way that the Blood of animals could not. Romans 5:9(“Much more then, being now justified by His Blood, we will be saved from God’s wrath through Him”)

During the Passover, God commanded the Israelites to smear the blood of a lamb on their door post (Exodus 12;7”They shall take some of the blood, and put it on the two door posts and on the lintel, on the houses in which they shall eat it”) God used the blood of lambs to spare the Israelites from the angel of death as He was coming to kill the firstborn children of the Egyptians. This was a secret of God that the Egyptians did not know. I believe there is wisdom and knowledge that God releases to His loved ones because He will always be a Father to them.

Declaring the Blood of Jesus over our lives and families enables us fellowship with God through His beloved Son.1^st John 1:7(“But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the Blood of Jesus Christ, His Son, cleanses us from all sin”. Acknowledging the power of the blood of Jesus upon our lives has so much unlimited power over our lives. There is healing power in the Blood of Jesus. Not a long while ago, I got some knowledge and became more conscious of the Power in the Blood of Jesus. Declaring it upon our lives every time before we sleep is enough to heal us of our illnesses even during this Covid-19 pandemic. This brings fellowship with God even in our sleep in the spirit and God begins to take control of your body. Roman 8:10(“If Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the spirit is alive because of righteousness”.

Once in fellowship, God begins to work on your body in your sleep. There are many testimonies of people who have slept while sick and woken up heathy. This is because God mostly works on our bodies in our sleep. While God was creating Eve, He made Adam fall into a deep sleep. He gave Solomon great wisdom while he was asleep. God has done it before and He can for sure do it over and over again. God sends us His angels who guard and heal us even in our sleep.

How much more, then, will the Blood of Christ who through the eternal spirit offered Himself unblemish to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living Lord. God earlier on used the blood of lambs to spare His people, how much more can God do even during this Covid-19 pandemic under the Blood of His Son. May we realise the power in the Blood of Jesus that we may claim it upon our lives. Just as the Israelites smeared the blood of lambs on their doors for protection, let us also declare the Blood of Jesus Christ upon our lives, now that we are covered in a greater sacrifice than they were.

I pray that we shall declare the Blood of Jesus upon our lives that His death to save us, heals us and protect us may not be in vain upon our lives. Shalom.
